My rating: 3 of 5 stars

::..Reviewed for Red's Midnight Readers..::

I was very kindly given an ARC in exchange for a fair and unbiased review. I have given it 3 stars.

After reading and enjoying The Oddest Little Beach Shop I was so excited to read another story from Beth Good! She has given us yet another enjoyable novella, this one moves along quite quickly and introduces us to Daisy Diamond, a tv star and Nick "The Devil" Old, who owns and runs a little book store. It has plenty of tense moments that have you on the edge of your seat wondering if Nick and Daisy will ever get together in the end. Don't worry though, the ending makes up for the turbulent journey these characters take us on.

It was a little bit over the top and felt somewhat flat at times but overall it was still a rather pleasant read.

Blurb

Daisy Diamond is a big television star, and she's finally going home. After ten long years away. Back to the gorgeous seaside resort of Port Pol in sunny Cornwall.

But she's not home five minutes before she realises the mistake she's made. Because her childhood sweetheart Nick Old - affectionately known as 'Devil' in Port Pol - is still living there, running the local bookshop, and has no intention of letting her forget what they once felt for each other.

Daisy is no longer the dewy-eyed romantic of her school days, though. And she's not afraid to show Nick how much she's grown up. Even if it means bending her heart out of shape a little ...

Another 'Oddest Little Shop' romantic comedy novella from the quirky pen of popular author Beth Good.
