Hope Sherrill Bio


Hope Sherrill grew up in South Carolina, where a majority of her stories take place. She earned a
Bachelor's degree in biology from Francis Marion University, and to her family's consternation,
doesn't really use the degree. She practically grew up with a book in her hand. She thanks her
paternal grandmother everyday for instilling within her a love of reading - even if the reading
material may not have been the most appropriate for her age at the time (imagine a middle
school girl reading Flowers in the Attic). Also, Hope Sherrill writes a series of Young Adult
Fantasy novels (13 Gates Series). She writes these books along with her sister and fellow
author, LJC Fynn, under the name A.L. Marchant.
