Wicked Needs by L.A. Cotton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
::..Reviewed for Red's Midnight Readers..
I was very kindly offered an ARC in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. I have given Wicked Needs 4 stars.
This is probably my least favourite book of the series not because it wasn't brilliantly written but because Macey is my least favourite character and after reading her story, I still haven't been able to warm up to her very much.
I was excited to learn who her mystery guy was though, what a total bombshell that was?! Macey has always been portrayed as a bit of an Ice Queen and in Wicked Needs we get to see what lies beneath her icy exterior.
She's an incredibly fragile person, who hides behind a persona to protect herself from those who want to use her for her name or because of who her brother is. She's spent her life trying to rise above it only to have it thrown back in her face, time and time again.
Although Macey is not a character I like, her story did tug on my heart strings and I really felt for her.
It was incredible to be back in Wicked Bay again, it was like we had never left!! L.A. Cotton has delivered yet another story full of emotion, drama and teenage angst that kept me on the edge of my seat from the very first page. This author has a true talent!

It’s a fine line between love and hate.
Bitch ... Ice Queen ... Frigid.
Macey Prince is no stranger to a nickname or two. The words once hurt, now they’re her armor. Being a Prince might be a life sentence she can never escape but Macey isn’t willing for her heart to be collateral again.
Then in a rare moment of weakness Macey lets someone in. Without realizing, she gives a piece of herself to him and it’s not long until he wants more. To uncover the girl behind cruel words and icy stares.
She should hate him.
She does hate him.
Anything less would be a disaster waiting to happen.
But sometimes the thing we hate is the thing we need most.
