About the book

It was the one place she should have been safe.

Angela was just a baby when she was abandoned, and a children's home is no place to grow up. When manager Ray takes girls off to his 'den' in the garden, they always come back crying.... So, when wealthy couple James and Rosemary come to choose a child to adopt, Angela is desperate to escape. Years later, Angela starts to search for her birth mother, Evelyn, hoping to heal the scars of her childhood. But strange and sinister events start to unfold. And Evelyn fears she may not survive her daughter's return.

🗨 Review 🗩

The HomeThe Home by Karen Osman

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

::..Reviewed for Red's Midnight Readers..::

I was very kindly offered a paperback ARC in exchange for an honest and unbiased review and I have given it five stars.

In three words I. LOVED. IT.

I could not get enough and found myself spellbound from the very first page and honestly found myself eating up every single word as fast as I could!

Karen Osman clearly shows what an amazingly talented author she is with The Home! It was so dark and tense and there were some twists and turns that were utterly shocking that they will left me gasping for breath.
Some parts of this story were a little difficult to stomach but I think that added to the spine tingling atmosphere that the author builds up with each and every shocking event that unfolds throughout.

This is the first book by Karen Osman that I have read but it won't be the last.
