I was very kindly offered an ARC in exchange for an honest and unbiased review and I have given Theo and Izzy's story 3 stars.

I have never been more excited about a Jodi Ellen Malpas book, I thought we finally had a new alpha male, who could rival the infamous Jesse Ward!
However, Jesse Ward has been put on a pedestal so high, that Theo James just couldn't touch him. Jesse Ward, simply can not be bested! Theo James promised so much and I went into Gentleman Sinner with high expectations but unfortunately I was left with conflicting feelings about this story.
This is a bit of a insta-love story and although Izzy feebly attempts to push Theo away, they ultimately keep finding themselves thrown together. This is an intense love story but Theo came across a little creepy and stalker-ish and I felt that the air of mystery that was supposed to have surrounded this new alpha was lost. It just felt weird!
I enjoy a good chase and the angst of the "will they, won't they?" but there just wasn't any of that in Gentleman Sinner and I also felt it was lacking in any real drama to keep me turning the pages. The story felt rushed and the epilogue just left me baffled, when his "problems" just miraculously disappeared. There were other aspects of this story that were equally baffling and I felt could have been handled differently, as it was, it was over the top and unrealistic.
Overall I enjoyed it enough to keep reading but I didn't love it, which is such a shame as I was so looking forward to it! I am sure that hardcore Jodi Ellen Malpas fans will be delighted with her latest offering though.
